A mate who's a teacher reckoned he knew of twins who's parents tried to call them "Benson" and "Hedges" and that there was a kid in one of his classes called Busstop.
And a quick google reveals one I had completely forgotten about - Talula Does the Hula from Hawaii.

You've just reminded me of another. Some bint who friended me a couple of weeks back. Had a cheeky look at her photos as she was a sort at school. She has a son called Blayde. I thought her autocorrect had changed it from say Brian or something (which in itself would be a bit cruel) but no, photo after photo of this blayde character. white, middle class, NOT a socket, normal bird.

There is a law in NZ to stop the utterly ridiculous but it's doesn't work. 4real got stopped but others slip through. As a teacher we have kids at my school called Chaos-Riot, Blade, Flame, Honestly, Emanon (No name backwards) and the winner La-a (pronounced Ladasha)

As a Communications Distribution Executive (postman) I've come across my fare share of silly names over the years- Comfort, Marvelous, Fantastic, Wiseman, Asquith (who also has a noble surname- Bonaparte) + (in the words of K-Tel) many, many more (which I've unfortunately forgotten)...
